Kitchen Remains Open to Help Feed Healthcare Workers

Although closed due to COVID-19 Citron Bistro’s kitchen remains open to help feed healthcare workers in this time of need.

free meals for healthcare workersGeorge Karas, owner of Citron Bistro has teamed up with Virgil Shouse, III, the president of Excell Fund Brokerage and Development, to provide free meals for the healthcare workers at Stride Community Health Centers.

For the past three weeks, Karas, Shouse and a handful of Citron Bistro employees have produced over 140 meals a day for healthcare workers and plan to continue to as long as there is a need.

“We are only halfway there,” says Karas has be plans to expand the daily meal delivery to 300 healthcare workers.

Karas and Shouse are personally paying for all the meals however they are outreaching to the general community to help them reach the needed 300 meals per day.
